The first football team of the Brazilian Flamengo club set a date with its counterpart, Pyramids, in the match that brings both teams together for the Challenge Cup title, within the 2025 Intercontinental Cup competitions.

The Pyramids first football team is scheduled to meet its Brazilian counterpart Flamengo at 7:00 pm next Saturday, Cairo time, 8:00 Doha time, in the semi-final match of the FIFA Confederations Cup for Clubs, at the Ahmed Bin Ali World Cup Stadium at Al Rayyan Club in Qatar.

The first football team of Flamengo Club, the South American champion, qualified at the expense of Mexico’s Cruz Azul in the quarter-finals for the Americas Derby Cup title, winning 2-1, to face Pyramids, the African and Three Confederations Cup champions, in the semi-final match.

The winner of the match between Pyramids and Flamengo will be crowned the Challenge Cup champion and will also qualify to face European champion Paris Saint-Germain in the final for the Confederations Cup title in the match scheduled for December 17 in Doha.

Earlier, the delegation of the first football team of the Pyramids Club was keen to attend the match between Mexico’s Cruz Azul, the North American champion, and the Brazilian Flamengo, the South American champion, for the Americas Cup in the quarter-finals of the Intercontinental Cup in Qatar.

As soon as they arrived at Hamad International Airport, the members of the delegation headed to the Ahmed Bin Ali World Cup Stadium, led by Engineer Mamdouh Eid, club president, Captain Hani Saeed, sports director, Captain Amr Bassiouni, contracting director, and members of the technical staff led by Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurcic, to attend the meeting and follow this match.
