The Competitions Department of the Saudi Football Federation decided to postpone the semi-final matches of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup between the teams of Al-Koloud and Al-Ittihad, and Al-Ahly and Al-Hilal until Wednesday, March 18, 2026, corresponding to the 29th of Ramadan, “the night of the 30th of Ramadan,” so that the two matches will be held at the same time, at nine in the evening, Cairo time, and ten in the evening, Saudi Arabia time.
This decision came after the competitions administration requested the views of the clubs qualified for this round regarding the previously announced dates, which are March 16 and 17, 2026. The competitions placed the sports season calendar for the clubs to review the available dates, in coordination with the Saudi Professional League and the relevant authorities.
This measure comes within the framework of the Saudi Football Federation’s keenness to harmonize the organizational aspects with the relevant authorities and provide the best possible conditions for holding the matches of this round in a way that enhances the fairness of the competition and takes into account the requirements of the clubs and the various entitlements within the joint work system.
It is noteworthy that the current sports season will end on May 21, 2026, in order to begin the national team’s preparations to participate in the 2026 World Cup.
The semi-final matches were scheduled to be held on March 16 and 17, corresponding to the 27 and 28 of Ramadan, after a new postponement, as the original date was February 23 and 24. However, the postponement of the tenth round of the Roshan League, due to the participation of the Saudi national team and its qualification to the semi-finals of the Arab Cup, imposed a comprehensive rearrangement of the calendar, which took place in coordination with the Saudi Professional League Association, which led to the loss of the original date for the semi-finals in favor of the 10th round of the Roshen League. Which has been postponed to this date.
