The Ministry of Education and Technical Education announced the controls for how to calculate the grades of students in schools for outstanding students in science and technology in the third year of secondary school as follows:
The final grade point average (GPA) for third-year secondary school students at Outstanding Science and Technology (STEM) schools is calculated from (four points).
– For each calculated subject, the student is given a grade according to the following mechanism:
• The failure is given a grade of (F), and zero points are awarded.
• Grades and points: The range of passing grades is calculated by subtracting the passing grade from the highest grade obtained by students in the examination session for the subject. The successful students are arranged in descending order, and the range of passing grades is divided into 10 equal segments, and grades and points are awarded in descending order according to the segments, according to the following:
It includes ten slides starting with the highest slide (1), which is a grade of A for 4.0 points, then slide (2) with a grade of A- for 3.7 points, followed by slide (3) with a grade of B+ for 3.3 points, then slide (4) with a grade of B for 3.0 points, then slide (5) with a grade of B- for 2.7 points, then comes slide (6) with a grade of C+ for 2.5 points, then slide (7) with a grade of C for 2.0 points, followed by bracket (8) with a grade of C- for 1.7 points, then bracket (9) with a grade of D for 1.3 points, and the lowest bracket (10) with a grade of D- for 1.0 points, while a student is considered to have failed when he receives a grade of F with 0.0 points.
