The eleventh edition of the tournament begins today, Monday Arab Cup 2025, which Qatar will host from December 1 to 18, with the participation of 16 teams for the second time in a row.
The 2025 Arab Cup begins today
The Arab Cup tournament will open against Tunisia and Syria at three in the afternoon today, at the Ahmed Bin Ali World Cup Stadium, while the opening match will bring together Qatar and Palestine at Al Bayt Stadium following the opening ceremony scheduled for four-thirty in the afternoon.
16 teams are competing for the title of Arab Champion, as the tournament is being held for the second time in a row under the umbrella of FIFA, after the 2021 edition, which was also held in Qatar, and the Algerian national team succeeded in winning it.
The eleventh edition of the Arab Cup took on an official character and not a friendly one for the first time, as FIFA decided to calculate the points of its matches in the monthly world rankings of the teams, which represents a historical transformation that gives the tournament an unprecedented official status.
The Arab Cup tournament will be held in six stadiums that have previously hosted the 2022 World Cup competitions, namely: Lusail, Al Bayt, Ahmed Bin Ali World Cup, Khalifa International, 974 and Education City.

Financial prizes for the 2025 Arab Cup
The organizing committee of the Arab Cup Championship revealed that it has allocated 7 million and 155 thousand dollars as a financial reward to the team that wins the title, while the second-place holder will receive 4 million and 293 thousand dollars, while the third-place holder will receive a financial reward of 2 million and 862 thousand dollars.
The fourth-place finisher in the Arab Cup will receive $2 million and 146 thousand dollars, and each team that reaches the quarter-finals will also receive one million and 73 thousand dollars.

The second group: Saudi Arabia – Morocco – Comoros – Oman
The third group: Egypt – UAE – Jordan – Kuwait
The fourth group: Algeria – Iraq – Sudan and Bahrain
It is noteworthy that the Algerian national team is the title holder of the last edition of the Arab Cup, after defeating Tunisia in the final match with two unanswered goals.
