Alexander Santos, coach of the Royal Army team, commented on the last match he played against Tanzania’s Young Africans, as part of the first round matches of the group stage of the African Champions League.

Santos said in statements published by the Moroccan newspaper Al-Soutouna: We played a good match against Young Africans, as usual throughout the entire season. It was our first defeat and this remains my responsibility. We played in a stadium that is difficult to apply our style, and the opponent prevented our way of getting out with the ball.
He added: We struggled with set pieces and the opponent stopped our solutions from the beginning, and we tried not to concede the fourth goal of the entire season. Between halftime we changed some players because we needed to control the ball more.
Santos added: We conceded a goal in our best moment in the match, but we were not at our level for most of the minutes of the match, and we did not adapt quickly to the atmosphere. We scored the equalizing goal and the referee canceled it. I watched the video after that and there was no offside, which is strange.
He concluded his statements by talking about the Al-Ahly match, saying: We have to prepare for the next match against Al-Ahly, as the group is complicated, and if we are victorious in the next two matches, we will have played our role in the best possible way, and we will achieve more points in the group stage.
