The North Giza Misdemeanor Court ruled two months in prison and a fine of 100,000 pounds for the accused of assaulting his wife in Bashteel.
The North Giza Misdemeanor Court began the first session of the trial of the accused of assaulting his wife in Bashteel and detaining her inside her residence.
The accused appeared in court after his arrest, and was referred to trial 48 hours after the incident occurred.
The court heard the statements of the accused, who admitted to assaulting his wife and causing her wounds and bruises, in addition to detaining her and preventing her from providing health care, justifying his action by assaulting their children.
The defendant’s lawyer asked for more time to review the case papers and prepare for the pleading.

Earlier, the security services at the Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances of a comment supported by a photo that was circulated on one of the personal accounts on social networking sites, during which the account owner was harmed by her husband beating her and detaining her at home in Giza.
Upon examination, it was found that on the 18th of this month, a dispatcher, resident in the station’s district, reported to the Osim Police Station that she had been harmed by her husband, a contractor residing at the same address, attacking her and causing her injury due to marital disputes.
The defendant was arrested, and when he was confronted, he confessed to committing the incident as referred to. Legal measures were taken, and the Public Prosecution took over the investigation.
