Today, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, is conducting an inspection tour that includes the Rafah land crossing, Sheikh Zuweid Central Hospital, and Al-Arish General Hospital, as part of monitoring the readiness of the health system in North Sinai Governorate and checking on the level of medical services provided to injured Palestinians.
Today, the Minister of Health inspects the Rafah crossing and Sheikh Zuweid and Al-Arish hospitals and follows up on quarantine work
The Minister’s tour begins with an inspection of the Rafah land crossing, where he follows up on the progress of work inside the quarantine points, and ensures the implementation of preventive and precautionary measures, and the availability of medical supplies and human cadres necessary to deal with cases arriving through the crossing from the Gaza Strip.
The Minister also inspects the quarantine departments inside the Rafah crossing and inspects the ambulances transporting the injured to Egyptian hospitals. He also includes a visit to Sheikh Zuweid Central Hospital, where he inspects the reception, emergency and intensive care departments, and checks on the availability of medicines and medical supplies.
The Minister also visits Al-Arish General Hospital, where he follows up on the progress of work within a number of medical departments, and visits a number of injured Palestinians who are being treated inside the hospital.
