The security services at the Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances of the incident of assaulting and wounding a taxi driver with the intention of stealing in Giza Governorate.
Arresting those accused of assaulting a car driver
For its part, the Ministry of Interior issued a statement regarding the incident, which stated: In the context of uncovering the circumstances of what was reported on the 10th of this month to the Dokki Police Department in the Giza Security Directorate from one of the hospitals, that it received a taxi driver with permanent wounds, and the allegation of assaulting him by beating him… Moving on, and by asking the victim, he decided that when he stopped in his car in one of the areas in the department’s circle, he was surprised by the presence of 3 people, and one of them brandished a white weapon, assaulted him, caused his injury, and seized a sum of money from him against his will, and they fled. By fleeing.
By conducting investigations and gathering information, it was possible to identify and arrest the perpetrators of the incident, 3 unemployed persons, 2 of whom had criminal information and residents of Giza, and in possession of the seized amount of money, and the knife used in the assault.
When they were confronted, they admitted to committing the incident as referred to, and legal measures were taken at the time, and the Public Prosecution took over the investigation.
