Today, Apple released iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2 for supported iPhone and iPad devices, with a host of improvements and new features focused on ease of use and increased productivity.

iOS 26.2 update adds a new option to activate an automatic alarm when the reminder is due, and also allows you to control the degree of transparency of the clock on the lock screen.

The update improves AirDrop performance, in addition to introducing new features within the Podcasts app. Additionally, the update enables Live Translation on AirPods within the European Union, and supports alternative app stores and third-party voice assistants in Japan.

As for the iPadOS 26.2 update, it continues to develop a clearer and more flexible multitasking experience. The system allows apps to be dragged and dropped from the Dock, from Spotlight Search, or from the App Library to different view modes, including Slide Over.

Dragging the app to the far right or left allows Slide Over mode to be activated, while dragging it to the sides opens a split view. When you drag the application to the middle of the screen, the system opens a larger or smaller window, with visual indicators showing the chosen mode.

iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2 are available for immediate download. If the update notification has not yet arrived, you can go to Settings, then General, then Software Update, and begin the installation directly.
