Earlier, the competent investigative authorities referred former MP Mona Gaballah to court for running over a person on Salah Salem Street in Cairo, on charges of manslaughter and damaging a lighting pole and sidewalk belonging to state property.
The referral decision came after the end of investigations that proved the cause of the accident and damage to public facilities. Charges of damaging state property and running over were brought.
Earlier, the family of a young man accused former MP Mona Gaballah of causing his death, after the accident that occurred on Salah Salem Street, where the car went up the middle island and collided with the deceased while he was standing on the sidewalk, which led to his immediate death.
Gamal Nasser, the son of the deceased’s brother, said in statements to Cairo 24 that the family was experiencing great shock after the accident, and his uncle was not on the highway or among the cars, but rather was standing on the sidewalk at the moment the car collided with him.
