The Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Jundi is a shield honoring the Grand Imam, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, during the activities of the centenary conference of the All-Kerala Association of Scholars in the Republic of India, in appreciation of His Eminence’s global scientific and advocacy role, and his pioneering contributions in consolidating the values of peace, dialogue, and human coexistence.
In his speech on this occasion, the Secretary-General emphasized that this honor reflects the high standing enjoyed by the Grand Imam at the academic and international levels, and the moderate religious and intellectual authority that Al-Azhar represents, which contributes to confronting extremism and building rational awareness in different societies.
Building bridges of communication with scientific and advocacy institutions
He pointed out that Al-Azhar’s participation in such events comes within the framework of its global mission, and its constant keenness to build bridges of communication with scientific and advocacy institutions around the world, in support of the values of knowledge, moderation, and serving human causes.
The conference activities witnessed the presence of a number of religious and intellectual leaders and representatives of scientific institutions, who appreciated the pivotal role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and His Eminence the Grand Imam in the service of Islam and humanity.
