The investigating authorities decided to refer the head of the Engineers Syndicate to trial before the Azbakeya Misdemeanor Court, against the backdrop of refraining from implementing a court ruling issued to pay a pension to one of the union’s retired members, in Case No. 563 of 2026, Azbakeya Misdemeanors.

Lawyer Muhammad Anwar, defending one of the engineers who benefited from the ruling, said that investigations confirmed that the captain did not abide by what the court ruled, which prompted the competent authorities to take the decision to refer him to trial, noting that the step comes to confirm respect for judicial rulings and to guarantee the rights of members stipulated by law.
