BenQ has launched a new short-throw projector, the LW830STW XGA. This simulation laser projector is designed for commercial use and is said to offer a brightness of up to 4,000 lumens. Other features include support for multi-monitor installations, a range of preset color modes, and a built-in speaker.

BenQ LW830STW XGA Simulation Laser Projector has been officially launched. Designed for commercial use, this new model is suitable for spaces requiring floor displays such as interactive playgrounds and sensory rooms.

The LW830ST is a short-throw DLP projector with a 0.521:1 throw ratio. It can display images up to 300 inches wide at a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. According to BenQ, its laser light source can provide a brightness of up to 4,000 lumens according to the American National Standards Institute, and operate for up to 20,000 hours. The model is said to offer a contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1, 93% coverage of the REC 709 color space, and image enhancement tools such as 2D keystone correction and corner trapping. Additionally, users can choose from a range of color modes such as sRGB, HDR10, and Simulation.

The BenQ LW830ST accommodates multiple display setups, including 360-degree installations, thanks to its blending standby mode. Ports on the device include two HDMI ports, a LAN, two USB-A ports, and RS232. The model can receive firmware updates via LAN, and there is also a built-in 15W speaker and a 3.5mm audio jack. Marketed as a compact model, its dimensions are 279 x 121 x 229 mm, which is about 11.0 x 4.8 x 9.0 inches.
