Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister, visited Housing Facilities and urban communities, the headquarters of the General Authority for Tourism Development, to follow up on the work progress of the Authority and overcome any obstacles, in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Mounir, Executive Director of the General Authority for Tourism Development, and officials of the Ministry and the Authority.
The Minister of Housing stresses the importance of strengthening the role of the Tourism Development Authority
At the beginning of the visit, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny held a meeting with the leaders of the General Authority for Tourism Development, where he expressed his happiness at being at the headquarters of the Authority, one of the most important bodies in the Egyptian state because of its major role in the economy and the tourism sector in Egypt, pointing out that we need during this period to strengthen the role of the Authority in the tourism sector to have a greater and influential role in terms of tourism investment, with a vision to attract more investments.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny confirmed that we are seeking to revitalize the work mechanism within the authority, pointing out that among the recent decisions is the presence of an assistant to the Minister of Housing specialized in the New Urban Communities Authority and the General Authority for Tourism Development, as there is great keenness to support and exchange experiences between the two bodies, especially after the presence of lands under the jurisdiction of urban communities that include tourism activities.
During the meeting, the Minister of Housing directed that there be a clear vision for the work mechanism within the General Authority for Tourism Development and that there be controls for all transactions in the Authority with developers and investors, and to maximize the role of affiliated headquarters, enhance the services provided there, train the work team, and create new ideas to serve developers and investors so that everyone feels the strengthening and improvement of the performance of the General Authority for Tourism Development.
