Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has announced that the future OnePlus Nord series smartphone will come equipped with an ultra-wide-angle front camera that captures an ultra-wide field of view of 105 degrees.
The company did not announce the accuracy of the camera, but previous circulating reports attributed two front-facing units to the new phone. The camera will come with a wide-angle sensor of 8 megapixels, and the resolution of the main sensor will be 32 million pixels, according to “The Verge” technical website.
The video explained how wide the OnePlus phone camera is, which will eliminate the need for a selfie stick, as group photos can be taken at arm’s length. In this context, it should be noted that wide-angle front cameras on smartphones are not common.
The Verge report stated that the phone’s processor is a Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor with support for fifth generation wireless networks, and according to preliminary information, the pricing of the OnePlus Nord series is expected to be low-cost.
It was reported that the first smartphone in the series will be equipped with a 6.55-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and will cost less than $500.
The official announcement of the first smartphone from the OnePlus Nord series for the European and Indian markets is also expected to take place on July 21.
