Youssef Mekheimer, head of the Al-Murabitin Committee at Al-Aqsa Mosque, said that the Israeli presence in Jerusalem and the West Bank is illegal according to international laws, which consider Israel an occupying force since 1967, stressing that all measures taken to establish settlement and the Jewish presence in the Holy City and the rest of the occupied Arab territories since that date are considered invalid and illegitimate actions and must be removed.

He added during television statements that this position is based on rulings issued by the Hague Court and many relevant legal and legal authorities.

Mukhaimer: What applies to the West Bank applies to Al-Aqsa

Mkhaimer pointed out that what applies to the West Bank also applies to the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the city of Jerusalem, which is under direct Israeli military occupation, pointing to the resulting restrictions and attacks that affect freedom of worship, freedom of movement, freedom of travel, freedom of housing, education, medical care, and all other aspects of citizens’ daily lives.

He stated that the occupation violates the rights of people in various details of their lives, including the freedom of access to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, confirming its religious status as the first qibla for Muslims, the second mosque built on land, and the third mosque to which travelers are drawn, in addition to confirming its position in the Isra and Mi’raj event.
