The Qalyubia Water and Sanitation Company organized an awareness meeting with the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate – Diocese of Benha and Quesna, in the Church of the Great Martyr George, within the framework of the directives of Engineer Mohamed Ibrahim Fouda, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director, to promote the dissemination of the culture of rationalizing drinking water consumption and maintaining sewage networks.
The meeting took place in the presence of His Eminence Bishop Maximus, Bishop of the Diocese of Benha and Quesna, and with the participation of a number of company leaders and members of the church.
Rationalization of drinking water consumption

During the meeting, water-saving parts and their role in reducing consumption rates without affecting the efficiency of use were introduced, while clarifying the danger of using Abyssinian pumps due to their encroachment on networks and negative impact on water pressure in neighboring areas, in addition to reviewing the damage of multi-stage home filters if they are not properly maintained periodically.
The symposium witnessed the presentation of an introductory overview of the new water law, highlighting the controls it contains for preserving water resources, in addition to introducing the hotline number 125 to receive citizens’ complaints 24 hours a day and deal with them immediately.
Engineer Mohamed Ibrahim Fouda stressed the company’s keenness to cooperate with religious and community institutions to spread water awareness, stressing that awareness represents one of the most important axes of work to maintain the sustainability of drinking water and sanitation services and improve the level of performance provided to citizens in Qalyubia Governorate.
