US President Donald Trump announced that the Iran war truce is going “smoothly” and that it is “supposed to end very soon.” He continued: “The Iran war is supposed to end very soon.”

Trump said during an event in Las Vegas on Thursday evening, “The war in Iran is going excellently… it is perfect… and we are able to do whatever we want there,” stressing that “Iran cannot be allowed to possess nuclear weapons.”

Trump: The Iran war should end very soon

The US President announced Thursday that the United States and Iran are “very close” to reaching an agreement, and that he is considering the possibility of visiting Pakistan to sign this agreement.

Trump told reporters at the White House that Tehran had agreed to hand over its stock of enriched uranium, at a time when the two countries were considering holding a second round of negotiations in Islamabad.

“We are very close to concluding an agreement with Iran,” Trump said before leaving for Las Vegas.
He added: “We had to make sure that Iran would never possess nuclear weapons… They completely agreed to that. They agreed to almost everything, so if they agree to sit at the negotiating table (again), it will make a difference.”
When asked whether he would go to Pakistan to sign the agreement, the US President replied: “I may go, yes. If the agreement is signed in Islamabad, I may go.”
Trump praised Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Commander Asim Munir for their mediation efforts with Iran.

Trump continued that Iran agreed to hand over its stockpile of enriched uranium, which constitutes a major point of contention between the two sides, explaining: “They agreed to return the nuclear fallout to us,” using this expression to refer to the stockpile of enriched uranium that the United States says can be used to manufacture nuclear weapons.
