The opposition judge at the Belbeis District Court decided to renew the detention of the young man accused of luring a child, assaulting her, and causing her injuries in Bandar Belbeis, for 15 days pending investigations.

The incident began when Major General Amr Raouf, Director of Sharqia Security, received a notification from the commander of the Belbeis Police Department, stating a report from the mother of the 14-year-old girl, “Sh,” that a young man had lured her and sexually assaulted her.
The investigations of the Belbeis Police Department investigation officers concluded that the incident was true, and while the child, “Sh,” 14 years old, an orphan of her father, residing in Bandar Belbeis, went yesterday to buy some supplies, the accused, “MTS,” 25 years old, unemployed, residing in the Bandar Belbeis district, lured her, then sexually assaulted her, causing severe injuries to her.
The investigation officers of the Belbeis Police Department were able to arrest the accused hours after receiving the report. Report No. 9236, Misdemeanors of the Belbeis Police Department for the year 2025, was issued, and upon presentation to the investigating authorities, they decided to refer the accused to the Public Prosecution to initiate investigations and take the necessary legal measures.
