The Council of Ministers agreed to assign the work of rehabilitation, operation and management supervision of a number of new technical schools – the fourth phase – to the Egyptian Telecom Company, and to transform them into schools for applied technology in the field of communications and information technology, where the company manages the work system within those schools and tests and appoints an academic partner in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, supervising them and providing the necessary cadres for that.

This approval comes as a continuation of the series of successes achieved in the previous three phases of the project in cooperation with the Egyptian Telecom Company.

The Cabinet also approved permission for the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to contract with the Japanese company Sprix to teach the programming and artificial intelligence curriculum and provide the QUREO platform for programming and artificial intelligence to technical education students.

This comes within the framework of the keenness to teach the programming and artificial intelligence curriculum to technical education students, similar to general education students, and to provide students with the advanced and basic digital skills required for the modern labor market. In response to Egypt’s national vision aimed at empowering young people with digital skills and building a workforce capable of competing in the global market.
