Menoufia Governorate announced the start of the total closure of Mubarak Bridge in the city of Shebin El-Kom, starting today, Thursday, for a period of 15 days, in order to begin comprehensive maintenance work and raise efficiency, within the framework of the plan to develop infrastructure, improve traffic flow, and maintain the safety of citizens.

Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor of Menoufia, confirmed that the closure decision came after an expanded coordination meeting to discuss the final regulatory procedures, in the presence of the executive leadership and concerned agencies, stressing the implementation of an integrated traffic plan that ensures the provision of safe alternative routes and prevents crowding during the work period.
Alternatives after the closure of Mubarak Bridge in Shebin El-Kom, Menoufia
The governor explained that it was decided to open the Omar Effendi Bridge in both directions to private cars and taxis, while facilitating traffic in the Venice Bridge area, in addition to preventing the movement of heavy transport vehicles within the city of Shebin al-Koum throughout the total closure period, with the exception of cars for food supplies, petroleum materials, and mills, in order to preserve the flow of movement within the city.
Intensification of field presence after the closure of Mubarak Bridge in Shebin El-Kom, Menoufia
The governor directed to intensify the field presence of traffic personnel around the clock, and to provide alternative roads and paths with the necessary guidance and warning signs, with close follow-up of maintenance work to ensure speedy completion and reopening of the bridge at the specified time and at a safe and advanced level.
Menoufia Governorate also appealed to citizens and motorists to adhere to traffic instructions and announced alternative routes, stressing that the works aim to raise the efficiency of the road network, improve the cultural appearance, and achieve sustainable traffic flow within the governorate’s capital.
