Motamed Gamal, the technical director of the club’s first football team, settled Zamalekon the formation that will play against Al-Masry Al-Port Said, in the seventh and final round of the group stage of the Egyptian Capital Cup, which is scheduled to be held this evening at Burj Al-Arab Stadium.
The expected formation of Zamalek against Al-Masry Al-Port Said in the Egyptian Capital Cup
Zamalek enters the match after its chances of qualifying to the next round of the tournament were greatly reduced, following the loss in the last round to Team Z with an unanswered goal, which is the first match in which Motamed Gamal led the team technically.
The technical director is seeking to achieve a moral victory at the end of Zamalek’s journey in the tournament, especially since facing Al-Masry is his second at the helm of the technical leadership, before officially leaving the competition.
Zamalek suffers from a clear numerical deficiency in its ranks before the match, as a result of the absence of a number of players joining the national teams, in addition to some recently returning elements from various periods of absence.
The technical staff also faces difficulty in relying on Tunisian striker Saif Al-Jaziri, who returned to group training only yesterday, after receiving a negative rest during the last period following his participation with his country’s national team, which makes his chances of participating in the match weak.
It is expected that Motamed Gamal will rely on the physically and technically ready elements, while giving the opportunity to a number of players to prove themselves, in an attempt to end the tournament on a positive note and leave a good impression before the next stage.
The expected formation of Zamalek was as follows:
Goalkeeper: Mohamed Awad
In the defense line: Baron Ochieng, Mahmoud Al-Wansh, Al-Sayyid Osama, and Mohamed Ibrahim
In the midfield: Saif Farouk Jaafar, Mohamed Hamad and Adam Kayed
In the attacking line: Juan Bezerra, Ahmed Sharif and Uday Al-Dabbagh
