Artist Tamer Abdel Moneim commented on the criticism recently directed at him because of his portrayal of the character of leader Adel Imam within the events of the play Nostalgia. 80\90, He stressed his respect for criticism from the public, while rejecting the method of personal attacks.
Abdel Moneim said in exclusive statements to Cairo 24 that he was being attacked on social media, explaining: There are people who insult me because I cheated a little. They say your words may be hurtful and knives cut the body. These are committees and I know who is behind them and what their purpose is. But the public has the right to criticize without impoliteness.
Artist Tamer Abdel Moneim stressed that artistic criticism is a legitimate right for the public, but he rejects transgression or personal insult, stressing that such campaigns do not affect his continued presentation of his artistic works.
