An informed source revealed that the constitutional swearing-in ceremony will be held today for new governors only, without inviting the governors continuing in their positions, who will continue their work normally without new official procedures.
The source explained in statements to Cairo 24 that taking the oath will be limited only to new officials who assume their duties for the first time, while the continuation of the current governors is considered a renewal of confidence that does not require re-taking the oath.
He added that the new governors will begin their work duties immediately after the completion of the ceremony, with an emphasis on quickly moving to their positions and working on following up on service and development files, to ensure that the workflow in the governorates is not affected.
The executive circles are awaiting the announcement of the details of the governors’ movement, which aims to enhance the efficiency of local administration and advance the pace of work on projects and services provided to citizens.
