Civil protection forces were able to control a fire that broke out in palm farms in the village of Al-Qasr, in the Dakhla district of the New Valley Governorate, and civil protection and firefighting forces were dispatched to the site of the accident.

Major General Walid Mansour, Director of New Valley Security, received a report from the Rescue Department stating that a fire had broken out in palm farms in the Ezbet Umm al-Saghir area of the Qasr villages in the Dakhla center, where the fire had destroyed a number of fruitless palm trees.
Immediately, the Civil Protection Forces sent fire engines to the site of the fire to control and extinguish it before it spread to the crops and surrounding areas. Cooling work is currently underway, and a report on the incident is being drawn up and referred to the prosecution to initiate investigations and determine the causes of the fire.
