Khaled Galal, the technical director of the first football team at the Ismaily Club, spoke about the arbitration decisions that were made, from his point of view, against the Ismaily Club in the current season 2025-26.
Ismaily coach: Some refereeing decisions deprived us of 8 points
Khaled Galal, the technical director of the Ismaili team, said in television statements that what the team is going through during the recent period is due to accumulations, noting that the coaching profession is considered one of the arduous tasks that requires great effort.
He added that what bothers him most is the controversy that recently arose over a penalty kick involving Al-Ahly and Ceramica, stressing at the same time his full respect for the club, but stressed that Al-Ismaily is a big club and no less valuable than Al-Ahly, Zamalek, or Al-Ittihad of Alexandria.
Jalal touched on his team’s match against Haras al-Hodoud, explaining that there was a penalty kick that was not awarded, in addition to the failure to award three goals for the team, two of which were confirmed by a number of referees as correct, he said, indicating his support for arbitration and those in charge of it.
The technical director confirmed that the team was subjected to controversial arbitration decisions, pointing out that protesting in some cases does not change anything, as the same referee is appointed in subsequent matches.
He also wondered why talk about Ismaili was ignored in the media, stressing that the club is big and has its own history and fans, expressing his dissatisfaction with some of the decisions that affected the team’s results, according to his description.
Jalal concluded his statements by noting that his team lost approximately 8 points due to refereeing errors, demanding that the refereeing decisions be carefully reviewed after each match, in order to achieve justice between all teams, and he said to the referees, “Okay, let us take care of ourselves and prepare for the match.”
