The investigating authorities in Port Said Governorate ordered the imprisonment of the accused Doaa, the wife of the victim’s fiancé, Fatima Khalil, for a period of 4 days pending investigation, against the backdrop of her accusation of killing a Port Said bride inside her fiancé’s house in the El Cape area in the south of the governorate, after listening to her statements in detail, and conducting a representation of the crime inside the apartment where the incident occurred, while continuing to hear the statements of a number of family members.
Imprisonment of the accused of killing the bride of Port Said
Investigations revealed that the incident began with the security services receiving a report stating that the body of a girl had been found inside the apartment of her fiancé’s family. Immediately, a security force moved to the location of the report and notified the competent authorities to take the necessary measures. The scene of the accident was carefully examined, the apartment was inspected from the inside, and the statements of those present were listened to.
Investigations revealed that criminal suspicion existed from the first moments, especially in light of conflicting accounts regarding the circumstances of the death, which necessitated expanding the scope of examination and discussing all those connected to the incident, until search efforts resulted in suspecting the accused, Doaa, the wife of the victim’s fiancé’s brother.
The investigations added that by examining the accused’s itinerary on the day of the accident, and reviewing her movements inside and outside the apartment, it was found that she was at the scene of the incident at the same time. Discussions also revealed that a dispute had broken out between her and the victim over the marital apartment, after the accused’s husband offered to move to a smaller apartment and leave the larger apartment for the newlyweds.
The information confirmed that the dispute developed into an altercation inside the apartment, and the accused pushed the victim and she fell to the ground, and as she lost consciousness for a moment, she grabbed her by the veil, which led to her immediate death, before she tried to remove the suspicion from herself at first.
