A traffic collision incident on the Beni Suef/Fayoum Agricultural Road turned into a family tragedy, after Fayoum University Hospital announced the death of the young man, Saif Khaled Eid, 18 years old, as a result of his injuries in a collision between a motorcycle and a microbus in front of the village of Hawara Adlan. With the death of Saif, he follows his cousin, Muhammad Mustafa Eid, 17 years old, who died at the site of the same accident.

Major General Ahmed Ezzat, Assistant Minister of the Interior for Fayoum Security, received a notification from Brigadier General Mahmoud Abu Bakr, Chief of the Fayoum Police Department, stating that the incident had occurred.

Initial investigations showed that the motorcycle that the injured young man was driving at excessive speed collided with a microbus taxi while he was trying to avoid it, resulting in the casualties, who were residents of the village of Al-Lahoun.

According to medical sources, the young man, Saif Khaled, was taken to the hospital in a very critical condition, as he suffered from a severe brain hemorrhage and a fracture of the parts of the skull. Despite the attempts of the medical team to help him, he breathed his last as a result of his injury.

For its part, the competent authorities began investigating the incident to determine all the circumstances and causes of the accident, and an official report was drawn up regarding the incident.

The prosecution ordered the young man’s body to be delivered to his family after obtaining a burial permit, for his funeral to his final resting place in the family cemetery in the village of Al-Lahoun.
