Company announced drinking water The sanitation system in Giza cut off water to a number of areas, namely Mit Uqba – Agouza – Dokki – Ahmed Orabi and its branches, for a period of 10 hours, starting from eight o’clock in the evening on Friday, February 6, 2026, until six o’clock in the morning on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Cutting off drinking water for 10 hours in two areas of Giza
The company attributed the reason for the water cut to the implementation of work to divert a drinking water line with a diameter of 800 mm, at the request of the National Tunnels Authority, as a result of the line’s conflict with the path of the 6th of October City monorail, in the distance from Sudan Street to Lebanon Street.
The company called on citizens, bakery owners and hospitals to meet their water needs during the outage period.
The company confirmed the provision of drinking water vehicles in the affected areas, and if requested, please call the hotline 125, until the work is completed and water is pumped back to the citizens.
