The incident occurred when the security services of the Alexandria Security Directorate and the Governorate Operations Room received a report from the commander of the Sidi Gaber Police Department stating that Property No. 26 on Ben Nofal Street in the Cleopatra area, within the department’s jurisdiction, had collapsed.

Immediately, civil protection forces and ambulances moved to the site of the report, imposed a security cordon around the place to protect passers-by, and took the necessary legal measures.

The initial inspection revealed that parts of an abandoned and uninhabited house collapsed on Ben Nofal Street, branching off from Zananiri Market in the Cleopatra area of ​​the Sharq neighborhood in Alexandria, without causing any casualties.

The initial inspection indicated that the property was not inhabited. A total demolition decision No. 21 of 2018 was issued for it, and no casualties were reported. A report was drawn up regarding the incident and the investigating authorities were notified to begin their investigations into the incident.
