To participate in the “Practical Criminal Investigation” program, held during the period from the nineteenth to the twenty-second of this month of April, which reflects the depth of existing cooperation between the two sides, and confirms their common interest in exchanging practical experiences and building professional capabilities in the field of criminal investigation.

The Egyptian Public Prosecution enhances judicial cooperation with the Public Prosecution in the State of Qatar

This is in implementation of the directives of the Attorney General, Counselor Mohamed Shawqi, to strengthen aspects of judicial cooperation with public prosecutions in sisterly countries, and in light of the implementation of the Public Prosecution’s strategy for training, and the memorandum of cooperation in the field of training and capacity building concluded between the Egyptian Public Prosecution and the Public Prosecution in the sisterly State of Qatar.

The program was opened in the presence of Dr. Issa bin Saad Al-Jafali Al-Nuaimi, Attorney General of the State of Qatar, who stressed the importance of these events in raising the efficiency of members of the Public Prosecution, developing their practical capabilities, consolidating judicial cooperation and exchanging experiences between Arab prosecution offices, in a way that supports the paths of justice and unifies professional practices in the field of criminal investigation.

The program witnessed the presentation of the expertise of the Egyptian Public Prosecution in a number of practical aspects related to conducting criminal investigations, including managing the investigation, analyzing the facts, drawing up charges, and preparing papers for disposal, as well as the practical aspects related to inspecting the places where crimes occurred, how to prove their general and specific descriptions, and documenting their elements in a way that serves the integrity of the investigation and ensures proper conduct of confrontations.

The program’s work also addressed the topics of digital evidence in terms of extracting, examining, and properly documenting it, and ways to benefit from open sources in investigations, in addition to preparing investigation extracts and preparing papers for disposal, whether by referring them to trial, issuing preservation orders, or orders not to file a criminal case, through applied workshops and practical models that highlighted the importance of completing investigations and preparing them on precise legal and technical foundations.

This comes as confirmation of the Egyptian Public Prosecution’s keenness to expand areas of cooperation with judicial authorities in sisterly countries, and to enhance the exchange of practical experiences, in a way that contributes to preparing distinguished cadres capable of conducting investigations efficiently and competently, and keeping pace with rapid developments in evidentiary tools and crime methods. In support of the quality of judicial work, and to consolidate effective criminal justice.
