The Pediatric Surgery Department team at Al-Azhar University Hospital in Damietta succeeded in extracting an electric saw from a child’s stomach, without causing any injury to the intestines or vital organs, and without recording any significant complications.

The hospital announced in a statement that the highly precise surgical intervention had succeeded in saving the life of a child and returning him safely.

The hospital explained that this achievement is not just a successful surgery, but rather a true testimony to the competence of the medical staff.

This is under the patronage of Dr. Rashid Muhammad Rashid, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Boys and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Azhar University Hospitals, Dr. Essam Taman, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Girls, and Dr. Adel Diab, Director-General of Al-Azhar University Hospitals in Damietta and Head of the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care.
