The Ministry of Education and Technical Education extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the student Adham Atef Muhammad at the Outstanding School of Science and Technology STEM in Beni Suef, who passed away yesterday, after suffering from a health illness, asking the Almighty God to cover him with his vast mercy and inspire his family with patience and solace.

In order to reveal all the details related to the death, and in response to the incorrect information being circulated, the Ministry would like to clarify that it has conducted an extensive investigation into the circumstances of the death, and in this context it would like to clarify the following:

On Saturday 12/6/2025, the student was unable to catch the bus designated to transport students to school. The student’s father contacted the social worker via WhatsApp and sent a picture of the student while he was on his sick bed, explaining his health condition. Immediately, the specialist stressed the need for the student to remain at home until he fully recovered, provided that he provided the school with a sick report and certificate, while assuring the guardian that the exam would be repeated for the student later in order to preserve his health.

On the morning of Sunday, 12/7/2025, the school administration was surprised by the presence of the student, accompanied by his father, who reported that his condition had improved. Although the student was clearly showing signs of fatigue, the school administration and the social worker informed the guardian that the student could not remain inside the school, out of concern for his safety and the safety of his colleagues. However, the guardian insisted on leaving his son at school, citing his inability to take him home again, and then he left.

The school doctor examined the student and noticed a rise in his temperature and a clear state of fatigue. She recommended that he be transferred for an external examination. The guardian was contacted successive times due to the necessity of his attendance, but the special circumstances he mentioned prevented his arrival. Accordingly, the medical supervision isolated the student in the medical isolation room, followed up on his condition, and dispensed initial treatment according to the available procedures.

On Monday morning, 12/8/2025, the student’s condition worsened, which required the school to immediately transfer him to Beni Suef General Hospital in order to preserve his safety and inform the guardian of all the procedures that had taken place. After the guardian’s presence, he insisted on transferring his son to health insurance under his full responsibility, and signed an official acknowledgment of that. The student was then transferred to Al-Sadr Hospital, where he passed away on Tuesday evening, 12/9/2025, according to medical reports issued by the hospital.
