The movie Giant is preparing to be shown in cinemas in Egypt and the Arab countries next January 14, amid great anticipation, especially as it deals with an inspiring story about the Yemeni-British boxer, Prince Naseem Hamed, one of the most famous boxing champions in the world.
The film embodies the journey of Prince Naseem’s rise from the working-class streets of Sheffield to the global podiums, under the supervision of his famous coach Brendan Engel, who played a decisive role in shaping his sporting and humanitarian career.
Starring in the work is the artist Amir Al-Masry, along with a group of international movie stars, most notably Pierce Brosnan. The work is directed and written by Rawan Athaly, and produced by the international star Sylvester Stallone.
Giant had achieved a remarkable achievement by winning the Golden Tanit Award for Best Film at the 59th Carthage Film Festival, which enhanced the audience’s enthusiasm to know more details about the work before it was officially released in theaters.
On the other hand, Amir Al-Masry previously spoke about the scenes of the movie Giant and the difficulties he faced with it, saying: The scenes were tough, and during filming I was injured, my finger was dislocated, and I lost 7 kilos so I could embody the character of Nassim Hamid.
