The New Valley Endowments Directorate announced that it had completed the replacement and renovation of 11 mosques at the level of the five governorate centers as part of the directorate’s plan for maintaining mosques, at a total cost of 52 million 510 thousand pounds, with the aim of improving the houses of God and serving the worshipers.

Replacement and renovation of a number of mosques

Sheikh Ramadan Youssef, General Director of the New Valley Endowments, said that the directorate also finished furnishing 25 mosques with a total of 4,000 square meters during the year 2025.

Ramadan added that he met with imams of mosques and administrations at the governorate level with the aim of confirming a number of important directives aimed at raising the level of preaching services, stressing the necessity of activating the “Correct Your Concepts” initiative through periodic lessons and seminars characterized by simplicity and clarity, to introduce people to the true religion and confront false ideas.

He also stressed the importance of adhering to administrative discipline, which includes adhering to the unified topic of the sermon, adhering to the Al-Azhari dress, and adhering to the dates of lessons and preaching convoys, to ensure that the mosque’s message reaches all segments of society regularly.

With regard to the houses of God, His Eminence Sheikh Ramadan Youssef directed the necessity of taking full care of the cleanliness of mosques and maintaining them periodically, stressing that preparing mosques for worshipers in the best possible way is an integral part of our tasks that we are proud of.
