He said US President Donald TrumpAn American war fleet is currently heading towards Iran, expressing his hope that Tehran will reach an agreement with Washington, which should have been concluded a long time ago, as he put it.

Trump added, in a speech he delivered to his supporters in the state of Iowa, that the American administration still prefers the negotiating path, saying: I hope they will conclude a deal with us, they should have done that a long time ago.

In a related context, the American President affirmed that his country had succeeded in dealing firmly with security threats, pointing to the elimination of pirates in Somalia and drug smugglers, as part of what he described as restoring American deterrent power.

On the internal front, Trump said that the US stock markets had reached their highest levels, pointing out that the inflation rate was the worst in the history of the United States, before his administration was able to reduce it, he said.

Trump also explained that his visit to Iowa comes within the framework of early preparation for the midterm elections, saying: “I am here because we have begun our electoral campaigns for the midterm elections that we must win.”

The Republican president traveled to Iowa to rally his supporters, in a state that is considered an important political arena before the House of Representatives elections scheduled for November, amid increasing pressure facing the agricultural sector, and delays in deciding biofuel policies, which constitutes a test of the patience of farmers and renewable fuel producers.
