A farmer was killed in a cane waste fire in Armant in Luxor

The details of the incident are due to the relevant agencies receiving a report stating that a fire had broken out in agricultural land and the death of a person inside it, and the competent authorities moved to the site of the accident to conduct an initial inspection.

The examination and investigation revealed that the deceased was called Mahmoud. F. M., 51 years old, and the incident occurred when he was setting fire to the remnants of the cane crop.

Wind speed and rescue attempts

Inspections showed that the speed of the wind in the region played a major role in the expansion of the fire, as it helped the flames spread suddenly and quickly, causing the flames to devour the farmer’s clothes and prevent him from escaping or controlling the fire.

The people of the area rushed to try to put out the fire and save the deceased, but the flames were faster, leading to his death at the scene of the accident as a result of his severe injuries.

The body was transported to the morgue of Taiba Specialized Hospital by ambulance, and was placed at the disposal of the relevant investigation authorities to take the necessary medical and legal measures.

The competent authorities completed the investigations to determine all the circumstances. The necessary report on the incident was prepared and the family of the deceased was notified to finalize burial permits.
