A strong preparation plan for the Egyptian handball team in preparation for the 2027 World Cup
The preparation program includes playing two friendly matches against the Icelandic handball team in Egypt on May 13 and 15 next during the international agenda, provided that the confrontation between the two teams will be renewed in January 2027 through two other matches in Iceland immediately before the start of the tournament.
The Egyptian national team will also meet the German handball team, the European runner-up, in two strong friendly matches inside German territory during the month of next March, within the framework of a plan for strong contact with the world’s first-class teams.
The International Handball Federation had placed Egypt, the African champion, among the first-level teams in the tournament draw, along with the teams of Denmark, Germany, Croatia, Iceland, Portugal, Sweden and Argentina.
The draw for the preliminary round of the 2027 World Championship is scheduled to be held on June 10, 2026 in Munich, amid great anticipation of the Egyptian team’s path in the upcoming world championship.
