Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, Prime Minister of Tripoli, confirmed the death of the Chief of Staff of his forces, Muhammad Al-Haddad, after his plane crashed in Turkey.

Al-Dabaiba said in a tweet on the

Al-Dabaiba continued: This great loss is a great loss for the nation, the military institution, and all the people, as we have lost men who served their country with sincerity and dedication and were an example of discipline, responsibility, and national commitment.

He concluded: Our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the families of those we lost and to their comrades in the armed forces. We ask God Almighty to cover them with His vast mercy, to dwell them in His spacious gardens, and to inspire their families and loved ones with patience and solace.

The death of the Chief of Staff in the Dabaiba government

Libyan media reported the death of the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Presidential Council Muhammad Al-Haddad In his plane crash in Turkey, while returning from an official mission.

Libya 24 channel quoted foreign media as saying that the Chief of Staff in the government of Abdel Hamid Al-Dabaiba, Mohamed Al-Haddad, and a number of officers accompanying him, were killed following the crash of the plane that was transporting them back from Türkiye, after losing contact with it.

In the same context, the Libya Today platform reported the death of the Chief of Staff in the Dabaiba government, Mohamed Al-Haddad, and his accompanying delegation, which consists of Vittore Gharbel and Mohamed Al-Assawi, in Turkey after the plane they were traveling in fell and contact was lost.

While a Libyan source told Al-Hadath TV that the fate of the passengers of the missing plane in Türkiye could not be confirmed, noting that the fate of Chief of Staff Muhammad Al-Haddad is still unknown until now.

Al-Hadath TV reported that an explosion was heard in the area where the plane of the Chief of Staff of the government of Abdel Hamid Al-Dabaiba, Mohamed Al-Haddad, and a number of accompanying officers disappeared in Türkiye.

For his part, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerli Kaya said: A plane carrying Libyan Chief of Staff Muhammad Al-Haddad and 4 others took off from Ankara Airport and contact with it was lost. We received an emergency landing notification from the plane in question around Himana, however, after that we were unable to reach it.
