Regarding the date of the first day of Ramadan 2026, we are separated from the month of Ramadan by less than 3 weeks, as astronomical calculations indicate that the crescent of the month of Ramadan will be born immediately after the conjunction occurs at 14:02 noon on Tuesday, 29 Shaban 1447 AH, corresponding to February 17, 2026, the day of sighting.
The moon sets three minutes after sunset on the day of sighting in Mecca, four minutes in Cairo, and in the rest of Egypt’s governorates between 3-4 minutes.
