The Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Fayoum Governorate continued its intensive monitoring campaigns on markets, which resulted in the arrest of 119 various supply violations in various centers of the governorate, within the framework of the directives of Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Fayoum, to tighten control over markets, control prices, and confront the greed and monopoly of merchants.

The campaigns came under the supervision of Engineer Juma Abdel Hafeez, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade in Fayoum, and Abeer Al-Aqbi, Undersecretary of the Directorate, and in coordination with the concerned authorities.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply explained that Campaigns It resulted in the seizure of 914 packages of expired foodstuffs that were not fit for human consumption before they were put up for sale, and the seizure of 743 packages of expired snacks and crackers inside a supermarket, which were intended for sale to children, and the seizure of 15 packages of subsidized local flour that is prohibited from being traded outside the food supply system, and the seizure of 20 bags of pasta of unknown origin, the weight of the bag being about 5 kg, without production data, and the seizure of half a ton of grits and bulgur of unknown origin and without invoices. With the production date blurred, for use in the manufacture of kofta and sausage.

In addition, 120 kg of crackers were seized, unfit for human consumption.

Several records were also prepared to compile subsidized local flour, including:

Collecting 5 bags of my flour, with a total of 250 kg.
7 bags of local flour weighing 50 kg per bag, with a total of 350 kg, were seized in a warehouse at the Itsa center.
3 bags of local flour, with a total of 150 kg, were seized inside an unlicensed mill in the Sennurs Center District.

Violations also included:

5 minutes of failure to announce prices
Report of not giving Bonus exchange to citizens (my association)
Reported for lack of health certificates
Editing of 66 bakery preparations varied between lack of weight, waste of flour, non-compliance with specifications, lack of a sensitive scale or price list, and lack of clean dough tools.

Tourist bakeries were also visited to follow up on prices and weights, bean and falafel restaurants, supermarkets, flour and stove depots, gas stations, to conduct an inventory and follow up on compliance with prices and licenses, butcher shops, markets and grocery stores, especially fruit and vegetable markets.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply confirmed the continuation of daily campaigns in all governorate centers, and that any violations that affect the health of citizens or affect the stability of markets will not be tolerated.
