In the latest round of performance leaks for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, it appears that the upcoming flagship phone has managed to achieve its highest score yet, beating the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max by up to 20 percent in multi-core tests. We’re less than a week away from the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, which makes multiple recently leaked GeekBench 6 tests less surprising. In the latest batch, the S26 Ultra powered by the 5G Snapdragon 8 Elite processor appears to have achieved its highest score yet.
With a massive multi-core score of 11,738 and a single-core score of 3,852, the Galaxy S26 Ultra managed to edge out its arch rival, the Apple A19 Pro-powered iPhone 17 Pro Max, by a whopping 19.36 percent. The single-core score, as expected, is almost identical to the scores recorded by the A19 Pro processor.
S26 Ultra: The Snapdragon 8 Elite processor for the overclocked Galaxy clearly flexes its muscles
It’s also clear that the S26 Ultra’s scores are higher than many other devices powered by the 5G Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, and this is due to the use of the faster Galaxy 4 variant of the system on the chip which will be equipped with performance cores that achieve higher boost speeds. Compared to last year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, the improvements are equally impressive, coming in at 24 percent and 33 percent faster on the single- and multi-core scores respectively.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is scheduled to be launched on February 25 alongside the new Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds Pro headphones, increasing the competition with the iPhone 17 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro, currently available at $1,099 on Amazon. As most reliable leakers have stated, the S26 Ultra is expected to come with the aforementioned system-on-chip, a new privacy screen that will deter hackers, a 5,200 mAh battery, and modest improvements to the camera.
