OnePlus launched the OxygenOS 16.0.2.401 update for the OnePlus 15 phone, and the update brought the December 2025 Android security patch, in addition to adding a new filter called Neon within the default camera application, which re-simulates the famous CineStill 800T film effect, giving night portraits a distinctive cinematic feel.

Moreover, the update improved the filters experience within the Photos app, as it now supports live photos, screenshots and screen recordings, in addition to modified photos, which makes applying filters to photos and videos more smoothly and easily.

The update also enabled the Bypass Charging feature not only during gaming, but also during non-gaming activities such as live streaming, watching videos, using maps, and other high-stress situations. This feature allows the phone to be connected to the charger during use without negatively affecting the battery, while reducing temperature rise.

In the context of other improvements, the update added the ability to drag and resize cloned application icons, with support for adding shortcuts and rearranging them via drag and drop. It also improved the display speed of thumbnails within the Photos app by improving the way they are analyzed.

In terms of performance and stability, the update addressed a problem that might cause the car screen to disconnect from the phone when the data network is switched. It also improved the logic of ending summaries and automatic translations, so that they stop automatically when there is no sound for a specific period.

On the security front, the update incorporated the December 2025 Android security patch to enhance system protection.

The OxygenOS 16.0.2.401 update is currently rolling out for the OnePlus 15 in India with build number CPH2745_16.0.2.401(EX01), while the same build is arriving on global and European models under build number CPH2747_16.0.2.401(EX01).

The update is currently being done to a limited range of users, with expansion to begin launching within the next few days if no problems arise.
