Star Yousra continues her final preparations for her new series scheduled to be shown in the 2026 Ramadan season, after a two-year absence from Ramadan drama.
Yousra series in Ramadan 2026
Yousra revealed in television statements that she is currently outside Egypt, confirming that she will begin filming upon her return in the coming weeks.
Yousra explained that director Rami Imam officially apologized for directing the work due to health problems, noting that he was scheduled to lead the project before his health conditions prevented him from doing so.
Yousra said: Unfortunately, Rami Imam apologized for directing the series due to health problems, and Abdel Aziz Al-Najjar will be the director of my series. He is a beautiful director and I love him and his work.
Yousra’s latest Ramadan works
Yousra’s last participation in Ramadan drama was through the series 1000, Thank God for Safety, which was shown during the Ramadan 2023 season, and co-starring: Shaima Seif, Mohamed Tharwat, Mayan Al-Sayed, Adam Al-Sharqawi, singer Enba, Sama Ibrahim, Utaka, and the work was written by Mohamed Zulfiqar, directed by Amr Salah, and produced by Gamal Al-Adl.
Series 1000 Thank God for safety
The series presented a social comedic story different from Yousra’s previous works, as she appeared in the role of Dr. Samiha Jaheen Al-Soeisi, a media professor who immigrated to Canada for many years before returning to Egypt with her children in implementation of her husband’s will regarding inheritance, so that the family faced a series of funny and paradoxical situations from the first moment of their return.
