Although the iPhone Air surprised users with acceptable battery life given the limitations of the slim design, the issue of endurance remains one of the main points of concern for many. The single camera setup also stands out as another issue that has drawn criticism from consumers since launch.
But it seems that Apple is seeking to address these observations in the next generation iPhone Air 2, according to the latest circulating reports. In late December, a report indicated the company’s intention to add a second camera, likely to be with an ultra-wide lens, which may give the phone greater photography flexibility.
In addition, a new leak from The Elec revealed expected improvements in battery life. People familiar with the matter have explained that the iPhone Air 2 may rely on a new display technology known as CoE, which is the same technology that is likely to debut with the iPhone Fold this year if it is launched.
CoE technology reduces the thickness of the screen unit and improves visibility under sunlight, resulting in lower power consumption in bright environments. Thanks to this efficiency, the screen does not have to raise the brightness level significantly to achieve the same degree of clarity, which reflects positively on battery consumption.

Furthermore, reducing the screen thickness may allow for additional internal space, giving Apple the option of using a larger battery to improve the device’s daily endurance.
Although this information is still rumors, the launch of the iPhone Air last year did not achieve the expected resonance. Therefore, Apple is likely to try to correct some weaknesses and provide a more balanced experience in the new generation.
