The low-cost USB adapter aims to connect the most popular controllers to the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam Deck, and Steam Machine with ultra-low latency, and Hyperlink 2 is supposed to provide broader compatibility and make pairing the controllers easier.
The GuliKit Hyperlink 2 is being promoted as a cheaper, smaller alternative to the 8BitDo USB Wireless Adapter 2, and the concept is the same: the dongle connects controllers to Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 consoles that aren’t natively compatible with Nintendo’s portable console. The Hyperlink 2 is also compatible with Windows PCs, Steam Deck (with a suitable USB-C adapter), and Steam Machine. On those platforms, The dongle is primarily intended to reduce wireless latency to up to 2.95 milliseconds, but actual latency will depend on the specific controller. For example, GuliKit lists a latency of 5.95 milliseconds for a PlayStation 5 DualSense controller with the dongle, compared to 8 to 30 milliseconds when using a regular Bluetooth connection.

GuliKit Hyperlink 2 is compatible with all Xbox One, Xbox Series, Sony DualShock 4, DualSense, DualSense Edge, and Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers, and users who already own one of these controllers may be able to avoid purchasing the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. The dongle also supports vibration and motion controls in some games, no drivers or apps need to be installed, and once the gamepad is paired with the dongle, it does not need to be paired again when transferring the dongle from one device to another.
The GuliKit Hyperlink 2 is available now for $17 on Amazon, and more details about the USB dongle can be found on the manufacturer’s website.
