Dr. Walid Al-Barqi, Governor of the Red Sea, announced the immediate start of construction of the first public beach and tourist promenade in the city of Shalatin, during a field tour to inspect the designated site, directing the rapid completion of administrative and technical procedures in preparation for the start of work without delay.
“Confirmed”Telegram“The project comes in direct response to the need of the people of Shalatin for an equipped and safe public outlet that provides a civilized environment for families and youth,” stressing that expanding the establishment of open recreational spaces represents a priority within the state’s plan to develop the cities of the south and improve the quality of life in them.
The Governor of the Red Sea explained that the first phase will be implemented urgently, with a length of 400 metres, pointing out that the designs of the beach and promenade will be implemented according to advanced aesthetic and cultural standards, keeping pace with the successful models in the cities of Qusayr and Safaga.
The project aims to provide an integrated entertainment outlet, in addition to supporting the tourism and entertainment movement within the city of Shalatin, which contributes to creating new visions for development and enhancing the services provided to citizens.
The Governor of the Red Sea stressed his continuous field follow-up of the implementation stages, to ensure adherence to timetables and technical standards, stressing the state’s keenness to develop the level of services in the cities of the south, and to place the two waterfalls on the map of tourist and service cities in the Red Sea Governorate.
