The city of Benha witnessed an incident in which a 37-year-old young man, from the village of Sindbis, affiliated with the Qanater El-Khairiya Center in Qalyubia Governorate, took a tablet of a toxic grain preservative, in an attempt to end his life.
He was immediately transferred to Benha University Hospital in critical condition, where the medical team tried to rescue him and provide the necessary care, but he died due to severe poisoning. The body was kept inside the hospital’s mortuary at the disposal of the investigation authorities, which began their work to determine the circumstances and causes of the incident.
The concerned agencies are intensifying their efforts to uncover the details of the incident, while the investigating authorities have been notified to undertake the investigation and take the necessary legal measures.
The Cairo 24 website warns against suicide, asking those who have such thoughts to go to a psychiatrist in an attempt to solve their problems, what they may be exposed to, and to think positively about the continuity of life that God has given to man. Cairo 24 hopes to go to the specialist doctor and present themselves to those concerned to solve the problem.
