AOC has officially launched a new ultra-fast gaming monitor. With a size of 27 inches and a resolution of 2.5K, the new screen also operates at a frequency of 540 Hz or 1,000 Hz as needed. While AOC usually tends to launch its gaming monitors globally, it has only offered the Agon Pro AGP277QK in China so far.
AOC has now officially launched the Agon Pro AGP277QK gaming monitor. To be clear, this monitor arrives directly on the heels of the Philips Evnia 27M2N5500XD. While both monitors were introduced at the end of last year, Philips only added its Evnia 27M2N5500XD monitor to its website in late January.
Thus, the official debut of the Agon Pro AGP277QK marks the second ultra-high refresh rate monitor to arrive in about a matter of weeks. As expected, the screen features a panel IPS Size 27 inches with flat finish. Also, the new screen operates at a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels (2.5K/1440p) with a refresh rate of 540 Hz. In this sense, the Agon Pro AGP277QK challenges modern monitors like the LG UltraGear OLED 27GX790B (currently $999 on Amazon).

However, the Agon Pro AGP277QK can raise its refresh rate to 1,000Hz instead of 720Hz like the LG monitor. To do this, the new AOC display must lower its resolution to 720p. Other panel specifications include a 1ms (GtG) response time, VRR support, 2,000:1 contrast ratio, 95% DCI-P3 color space coverage, and 350 nits SDR brightness that rises to 500 nits when HDR mode is enabled.
Moreover, AOC packs a lot of features within its G-Menu software, such as Dynamic Crosshair and Sniper Scope. To top it all off, the Agon Pro AGP277QK comes with ports DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR 20) And HDMI 2.1 and USB 3.2 Type-A, in addition to a 3.5 mm jack and 5-watt stereo speakers. AOC has not yet revealed pricing or availability. While the Agon Pro AGP277QK has only been launched in China so far, we expect AOC to launch the new monitor globally later this year as well.
