LG revealed its new LG Gram series of laptops for the year 2026 during the CES 2026 exhibition in Las Vegas, with the innovation of a new material that it called “Aerominum”, which is a made-up term from the company that combines “Aero” (lightness) and “Aluminum”. This material is an aluminum alloy specially developed to be lighter and stronger than traditional aluminum used in laptops, allowing for a significant weight reduction without sacrificing durability.
The LG Gram 2026 series comes in 14-, 16- and 17-inch sizes, with a starting weight of less than 1 kilogram for the 14-inch model, which is lighter than most competitors in the same category. The devices are based on new generation Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors, with OLED displays with up to 2.8K or 3K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 500 nits brightness, providing an immersive visual experience and accurate colors. It also includes battery improvements to provide longer life, and support for artificial intelligence technologies via the NPU built into the processor.
Among the highlights is a slim design, measuring less than 12mm thick in some models, with a comfortable keyboard and multiple ports, including Thunderbolt 5. LG did not reveal specific pricing in the announcement, but it is expected to range between $1,200 and $2,000 depending on configuration, similar to the previous Gram series, with market availability during the first quarter of 2026.
